WHAT'S SPECIAL ABOUT MOOTOWN PRODUCE?

The Mootown Produce farm is located just south of Brookland Arkansas off highway 49 south on 498 Craighead Road 768. Call for availability. During the spring and summer we raise sweet corn, assorted vegetables and pumpkins on our farm near Brookland. Mootown produce can be found at the local Farmer’s Markets and at the farm market throughout the summer growing season. Spring crops consist of radishes, lettuce, kale and those are soon followed by squash, zucchini, sweet corn, tomatoes, peppers and much more… Why Go Local? The average grocery store tomato has traveled for several days and over 1,500 miles to go from field to shelf. Much of the nutrient content and flavor of the mass produced vegetables available at our supermarkets is lost in transit; not to mention the inefficiency and insecurity of a food system based on long distance travel and dependent on oil.
